Patriots' Amendola Limited At Monday's Practices
BOSTON (CBS) - Wide receiver Danny Amendola was present at Patriots practice on Monday, but was moving very gingerly with the groin injury that sidelined him for New England's Week 2 win on Thursday night.
Amendola was limited as he took part in individual drills with the team, but struggled to run routes and make cuts. A report on Sunday said Amendola is suffering from torn adductor muscles in his hip and potentially a sports hernia -- though he's received conflicting reports from doctors about the possible hernia.
Amendola suffered the injury in the first half of New England's Week 1 win over the Buffalo Bills, but returned in the second half and finished the game with 10 catches for 104 yards.
Head coach Bill Belichick was asked about Amendola on a conference call on Monday, in addition to the status of tight end Rob Gronkowski, but said their injured players are all considered "day-to-day."
"I'd say really all of our players are day-to-day other than obviously [Shane] Vereen," he said. "I know the rest of them we'll just take it day-to-day."

Julian Edelman stepped up in Amendola's absence on Thursday, catching a career-high 13 receptions for 78 yards. He currently leads the Patriots with 20 catches and two touchdowns this season.
Cornerback Aqib Talib and special teams captain Matthew Slater were absent from Monday's session, though their absences are unclear at this point. Talib picked off two passes on Thursday but was taken down by the knees on the sidelines during an end-of-game scrum with the Jets.
Cornerback Alfonzo Dennard was also absent, as he had not yet returned from his probation hearing in Lincoln, Nebraska. Earlier in the day, Dennard admitted to violating his probation, and is due back in court on December 5 for sentencing.
