Hit & Run Driver Badly Injures Boston Doctor

CAMBRIDGE (CBS) - A doctor at Massachusetts General Hospital says he was the victim of road rage while commuting to work on his bicycle last month.

Geren Stone was pedaling down Warren Avenue last month when he says a driver became hostile.

"All I heard was, 'Get out of the way, get off the road,'" said Stone.

Stone says the pickup truck veered in his direction.

"All I remember is seeing him pull around. He was coming at an angle that I knew he was going to hit me," said Stone.

The fall fractured the Somerville man's left wrist.

"I remember laying on the ground holding my wrist, and then looking up and seeing it was in a direction it shouldn't be going," said Stone.

The primary care physician was in the hospital for four days, and missed nearly two weeks of work.

Surveillance cameras at a nearby business captured the incident, but a month later, Cambridge Police have yet to make an arrest.

"Clearly, it's somebody who's taken a level of anger and road rage to dangerous," said Stone.
