In Obituary, Stoughton Man Says Don't Vote For Hillary Clinton
STOUGHTON (CBS) – In his obituary, a Stoughton man is asking voters not to elect Hillary Clinton in this year's presidential election.
Carl Crocetti, 62, died on Sunday after a decline in health over the last year.
The lifelong Stoughton resident is survived by his son Carlo.
In his obituary, Crocetti pleaded for residents not to vote for the likely Democratic nominee this fall.
"Carl requested in lieu of flowers that people elect NOT to vote for Hillary Clinton in the presidential election in November," the obituary reads.
Carlo says his dad was like a cartoon character.
"He was very animated, very passionate about the election," Carlo said. "What I will say is, he wants to make American great again."
A larger than life legend who loved hot cars, speed boats and was a laugh riot.
"When you bring your future wife to the house to meet your father, and he's wearing his underwear, and he doesn't care, and he makes it known, that's kind of guy he was," Carlo said.
He was a man who pulled no punches and who didn't shy from politics.
"I'm just trying to honor him as best I can," Carlo said. "And this is how I'm doing it."
A funeral will be held for Crocetti on Tuesday at 7 p.m. with visiting hours from 4-7 p.m. that day at Farley Funeral Home in Stoughton.
This is not the first time this election cycle that a Massachusetts resident has used their obituary to send a political message.
In March, a Lynn woman's obituary asked for people not to vote for Donald Trump.
