Heyman On Gresh & Zo: Home Field Really An Advantage?
The Red Sox secured their spot as division winners by beating the Toronto Blue Jay this past Thursday night. It's the Red Sox' first AL East win since 2007, and it's just the second time they've won the division since the mid-'90s.
Jon Heyman joined Gresh & Zo to discuss the approaching post season and the Red Sox competing for home field advantage throughout the playoffs, but does home field really matter?
Heyman doesn't think so, "To me that's a very minute advantage to have the home field and I'd rather have your players healthy and ready to go."
But does believe that it would behoove the Sox to play for a better record than Oakland to avoid facing the other division champ, which right now would be the Detroit Tigers.
Plus, does Jacoby Ellsbury need to return and play well to not damage his value in free agency?
