Heyman Gresh & Zo: Plenty Of Trade Options For Red Sox

BOSTON (CBS) - The MLB Trade Deadline is just three weeks away, and the hot stove should start heating up soon.

The Red Sox are sitting pretty in first place in the AL East, but could use some help in their ailing bullpen. CBS Sports' MLB Insider Jon Heyman joined 98.5 The Sports Hub's Gresh & Zolak on Tuesday, and said Boston should have plenty of options in the near future on the trade market.

"Any time you have a chance to win it all you should go for it. The Red Sox understand that, no question, they are buyers and not sellers, and should go for it," said Heyman.

Some relievers available are Cubs closer Kevin Gregg, who has 15 saves and has allowed just six earned runs in 30.1 innings of work, Milwaukee's Tom Gorzelanny, Mike Gonzalez and Francisco Rodriguez (who has a 1.25 ERA), and pretty much anyone who wears a Marlins uniform.

Heyman doesn't think Phillies closer Jonathan Papelbon will be traded, with his $13 million salary and Philadelphia wanting a lot in return.

But that doesn't mean Boston won't be able to get some bullpen reinforcements without giving away a top prospect.

"I don't expect Boston to give up their top prospects; they need bullpen help and to get that you don't need to give up your top prospects," he said.

For that matter, Heyman also doesn't see many teams giving up their top prospects in the coming weeks, because the star players are not available this year.

"Right now the market isn't filled with big stars," he said. "I not sure there is any guy on the market this year that will require that big, big prospect (haul). We're not seeing that Super Star-type player get traded. We'll see a lot of activity, but I don't see any Super Stars getting traded."

Heyman also touches on Jacoby Ellsbury's current play and future contract, and what the rest of the AL East could do at the deadline:
