Hernandez, Hightower Inactive For Patriots Against Broncos
BOSTON (CBS) - Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez and linebacker Dont'a Hightower are among the inactives for New England for Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos.
Hernandez injured his ankle against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 2, but returned to practice this week. He was listed as questionable on the team's injury report on Friday.

Fellow tight end Rob Gronkowski, who has been battling hip issues, is active. Guard Logan Mankins, who was inactive for last Sunday's win over the Bills, is also active against the Broncos.
Hightower, also listed as questionable on Friday, suffered a hamstring injury in last Sunday's win over the Bills. He practiced throughout the week, but is not healthy enough to play against the Broncos.
With rain expected at Gillette Stadium, it's probably on the safer side to have Hernandez and Hightower sit this one out.
Other inactives for New England include tight end Michael Hoomanawanui , safety Steve Gregory, wide receiver Julian Edelman, defensive end Jake Bequette, and offensive lineman Matt Tennant.
Hoomanawanui battled a concussion throughout the week, missing Wednesday and Friday's practices.
