Hernandez Associate Pleads Not Guilty To Murder
FALL RIVER (AP) — An associate of former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez has pleaded not guilty to murder in the shooting death of a man last summer about a mile from Hernandez's home.
Ernest Wallace was arraigned Thursday in Superior Court.
Wallace has previously pleaded not guilty to accessory charges along with Carlos Ortiz for the June 2013 killing of semi-professional football player Odin Lloyd. Ortiz is being arraigned May 27.
Hernandez has pleaded not guilty to murder in the death of 27-year-old Lloyd, a Boston man who was dating his fiancée's sister.
Wallace and Ortiz are from Hernandez's hometown of Bristol, Connecticut.
Separately, Hernandez was indicted Thursday on murder charges in the 2012 killings of Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado, who were shot as they sat in a car in Boston's South End.
