Here Comes The Rain

Once the rain settles in, we will be hard-pressed to find any sunshine throughout the day and into the weekend.  Initially, the rain will be light while heavier downpours will occur this afternoon and evening, especially north and west of Boston.  Rainfall amounts will add up to .50-1.0".  The heaviest amounts are expected to fall north and west of Boston. A 5-15mph east-southeast wind will keep temperatures in the 50s near the coast to the lower 60s inland.

The rain will begin to transition northeastward tonight.  Lows will be in the lower to middle 50s.

Overall, this weekend will not be an ideal fall weekend here in New England.  Saturday will be under the influence of PVA and a light variable/onshore wind. The light showers will occur mainly during the morning hours.  The trajectory of the wind will keep coastal communities under overcast skies with patchy mist and drizzle throughout the day.  Inland locales may see a peek of sun, but that's not likely.  High temps will be in the lower 60s. On Sunday, mostly cloudy skies will prevail as well as a chance of showers, especially during the afternoon.  High temps will be slightly milder in the upper 60s.

Monday will begin with a chance of showers, but it will end on a brighter note.  Tuesday will be a full day of sunshine! :)

***The Full 'Harvest' Moon is on Saturday, but it won't be visible due to the overcast skies int he forecast.

Happy FRRRiday! Have a fantastic weekend!

~Melissa :)
