Heating Up...
The last few days have been beautiful with tempered temps and sensational sunshine. Well as we head into the weekend we are going to turn up the heat and humidity...classic Summer weather on the first weekend of Summer.
SW winds are setting up for an extended stretch and they will usher in heat and humidity that will slowly build over the next 5 days. Highs will move from the mid 80s tomorrow to the lower 90s early next week. We will also have a solid taste of humidity as dewpoints transition from the 50s to the upper 60s by early next week. Along with the heat and humidity comes the chance of thunderstorms but the action should be very isolated through the weekend as there won't be much of a trigger.
The trigger, a coldfront, will work in on Wednesday this will create more widespread showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon. Following their departure, a cooler airmass returns for the second half of next week.
Enjoy the first weekend of Summer!
