Heat Wave In Full Swing

We are in the midst of the first heat wave since late August-early September of last year.

Boston hit 91F yesterday for the 1st day of the 4-day stretch.   Worcester and Providence topped off in the upper 80s yesterday.

Hazy, hot, and humid conditions will prevail today and continue through Saturday.

Watch Melissa's forecast:

There will be a slim chance of an isolated storm today across our extreme northern viewing area (mainly across northern New England).

High temps will hover in the 95-100F degree range today and tomorrow.

Heat indices will be near 105F at times during the afternoon hours.

A Heat Advisory is in effect today, and an Excessive Heat Watch is in place for Friday.

Saturday's high temps will still be hot in the middle 90s, but it will be slightly less humid.

The heat will break late this weekend as more seasonable high temperatures take over on Sunday.

Be very careful!  Check out our home page for information about cooling centers and neighboorhood pool hours.

Melissa :)
