Heat & Humidity Have A Grip

Despite the passage of a front early this morning, the heat and humidity are still hanging tough early this week.

Today will be partly cloudy to mostly sunny with a very low chance of an isolated storm, mainly north and west of Boston, during the optimum heating hours. Dewpoints will be a tad lower in the middle and upper 60s, but that is still on the high side. High temperatures will reach the lower 90s interior...80s this afternoon along the coast due to a weak seabreeze.

Tuesday will be challenging the current record high temperatures! It will be hazy, hot, and humid. Thermometers will be reading in the middle to upper 90s!  The current records are as follows...Boston->98F in 1999 and Worcester->93F in 1900.

Wednesday will be the day of transition as a cold front slowly moves through the region. This front will induce showers and thunderstorms, which may become strong during the afternoon and evening hours. In its wake, we will get a break from the heat and humidity. Highs will be near 90F.

Thursday and Friday will be beautiful! Thursday will start with residual clouds and possibly a shower before giving way to increasing sunshine.  Friday will be sunny with a dry air mass in place.  High temps on both day will be in the upper 70s to lower 80s in conjunction with dewpoints in the 50s.

Heading to the beach and hanging out on your boat will be two popular activities this week.  So, make sure to check out this link for your daily beach and boating forecast.

This week's night sky will include the bright Venus and Jupiter during the dawn hours along with the waning crescent/new moon.
