Heading into a Weekend...

Luck was on our side for a change clouds burned off quickly and sun ruled almost the entire day...today goes on the list of top 5 days of the Spring...so far.  Terry and I were actually in Tyngsboro at Parlee Farms shoot ing some Gardening With Gutner segments...we were in the apple orchard and all of the trees were in full bloom...it was magnificent.  The topic was honey bee polonization and it was very interesting the segment will air later in the month...by the way, I was only stung once!

The high that supplied the great weather today will try to hold on for a little while longer and with a our next storm system moving at a snail's pace it should be able to give us one more solid day.  So Saturday will be entirely dry from start to finish...there will be a little sun especially in the morning and temps will range from around 70 in Central MA to 50s at the coast.

By Sunday, moist southeasterly flow will be stirring up and showers will be spilling into Western NE and working east.  It looks like it will take a bit to sufficiently saturate the atmosphere for rain so several of the morning hours will likely be rain-free as well but by afternoon it will be very hard to keep the showers at bay.

Once they start, waves of them will pass over for several days of unsettled weather.  A ridge to our East and the cut-off to our west will create a very warm and moist sub-tropical flow and somewhere in the East will get absolutely soaked...right now the axis of heavy rain may actually stay just to our west but it's a little premature to rule it out over us.  Regardless of how much, next week is not looking very good.

Have a great weekend everyone...
