Harvest Power Plans To Make Energy Out Of Table Scraps
BOSTON (CBS) - A Waltham company stands to benefit from a new state initiative that opens the door for a new type of energy plant - a plant that uses food scraps and yard waste as fuel.
Harvest Power has developed what it calls anaerobic digestion technology. It uses organics to make electricity and mulch.
The state's new Clean Energy Results Program will allow permitting for at least three anaerobic digestion facilities by 2014.
