Harvard's Amaker Finalist For Ben Jobe, Hugh Durham Awards
BOSTON (CBS) - After leading the Harvard men's basketball team to their first NCAA tournament berth since 1946, head coach Tommy Amaker is up for a pair of prestigious awards.
Amaker has been named a finalist for the Ben Jobe Award and Hugh Durham Award after guiding the Crimson to a program-record 26 victories and second straight Ivy League title. Harvard went 26-5 this season and 12-2 against Ivy League opponents.
Harvard fell to Vanderbilt in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

The Ben Jobe Award is presented annually to the top minority coach in Division I men's basketball. The Hugh Durham Award is given each year to the top mid-major coach in Division I college basketball.
Amaker is one of 21 finalists for each award.
In his fifth season at Harvard, Amaker was also a finalist for these two awards last season.
