Harvard Preparing For Second Straight NCAA Tournament
BOSTON (CBS) - For the second straight year, the Harvard men's basketball team will gather around and wait patiently to hear who their next opponent will be.
Once again, the Harvard Crimson are heading to the NCAA Tournament.
After going 19-9 overall and 11-3 in the Ivy League, the Crimson clinched their third straight Ivy League crown and second-straight NCAA Tournament berth.
Head coach Tommy Amaker got strong seasons from freshman guard Siyani Chambers, named Ivy League Rookie of the Year after averaging 12.9 points and a team-high 5.8 assists per game, and sophomore guard/forward Wesley Saunders, who averaged a team-high 16.5 points per game on 54-percent shooting from the field.

Junior co-captain Laurent Rivard (16.5 points and 3.7 rebounds per game) and sophomore forward Steve Moundou-Missi (who led the team with 5.1 rebounds per contest) also had strong seasons, earning All-Ivy League honorable mention honors.
Last year the Crimson made their first NCAA Tournament appearance in 66 years. As a 12-seed, they took on five-seeded Vanderbilt in the second round, falling 79-70.
Now they'll gather once again at Harvard's Hall of History in the Murr Center to learn who they'll be playing -- and where -- during Sunday evening's NCAA Selection Show at 6 p.m. on WBZ-TV.
