Harvard Freshman Jonah Travis Earns Ivy League Rookie of the Week
BOSTON (CBS) - Harvard Freshman forward Jonah Travis has been named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week after helping the Crimson improve to 8-0 with a pair of victories last week.
The Minneapolis native scored a career-high 19 points and grabbed a career-best 10 rebounds for a double-double in the Crimson's 80-70 win over Seattle on Sunday. Travis shot 6-of-8 from the field and hit 7-of-9 foul shots, while coming down with six offensive boards.
"It feels great. That's the good thing about having so many weapons on a veteran team," Travis said of the honor after practice on Monday. "You get to kind of fly under the radar when you're a freshman. Any one of us could easily break out and have a game like that, any freshman. They don't have much film on us and they're not exactly scouting us. We all do what we do very well, so we can come up and surprise people."

Travis also made 2-of-3 shots from the floor and finished with four points in the Crimson's 55-48 win at Vermont on Thursday.
The Crimson have a chance to make the Top 25 when the rankings come out on Monday. They next play eight-ranked UConn in Hartford on Thursday.
