Hardy Reads Hub Headlines In The Style Of Dick Flavin, Red Sox Poet Lauereate
BOSTON (CBS) -- It was a most significant day in Red Sox history on Wednesday.
"What?" you may say. "February 10th? How could February 10th, a day with no trades or signings or games, how could that day be significant?"
Two words, pal: Truck. Day.
That's right. Wednesday marked the annual ceremony of the Red Sox packing up a truck with some baseballs and bats and helmets and socks and bubble gum, and sending it down I-95 to Fort Myers. The unofficial sign that spring is near, they say.
To commemorate the momentous occasion, Red Sox poet laureate Dick Flavin was on hand to deliver another stirring poem on Yawkey Way.
If you weren't fortunate enough to see the Flav-Master in action, Adam Jones Show producer Josh Deering was on hand to permanently memorialize the historic occurrence.
If you're still in your seat, then you're in for a treat.
(That rhymed, you see?)
Inspired by Flavin, Rob "Hardy" Poole decided to deliver what was arguably the greatest Hub headlines in the history of the radio station. (Monster Mash headlines is the other contender.)
