Happy Thanksgiving Day
Happy Thanksgiving! The quiet weather is sticking with us on this Thanksgiving '12. There will be brighter skies as we get ready to sit down to our turkey feast this afternoon. Highs will reach the lower 50s.
Black Friday is going to be great shopping weather too. The sun will be shining as temps rise up to the middle 50s.
This weekend will be filled with 'winds of change'. We will have a chance of a few showers starting on Friday night and lingering into Saturday morning. This will be due to the passage of a cold front. Saturday will start with temps in the middle and upper 40s until dropping into the upper 30s by evening. Most of the day will be dry and partly sunny, but there will also be the chance of a spot shower on Saturday afternoon as a 500H trough swings eastward. Sunday will be bright, blustery, and cold as highs struggle to make it to the 40F mark.
Monday will continue with sunshine and highs in the middle 40s.
Then, the models are diverging and changing their forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday. The EURO was showing a much more westerly track yesterday, but this morning, it practically has the storm a complete 'miss' as it travels from the panhandle of Texas to the Mid-Atlantic states and offshore. Then, the GFSx still has it impacting us in the form of a rain/snow mix initially on Tuesday as a warm front presses nrothward. Then, we enter the warm sector on Wednesday to induce a rainy and windy event. Then, a cold front would tap into colder air that would funnel into New England thereafter.
