Drugs Found In Hanson Apartment Where Break-In Prompted Search
HANSON (CBS) – Police arrested two people who live in an apartment that was broken into last month, an incident that prompted a large search for four suspects in Hanson.
On September 29, a Main Street resident said four people were trying to break into her home, so she ran to a nearby convenience store and called police.
After a lengthy search, police arrested Anthony Marcelino and Andrea Jorge, who was in possession of a handgun. Two suspects remain at large.
That day, police executed a search warrant at the apartment where the break-in occurred.
During the search police found 48 grams of a substance believed to be Fentanyl along with $20,000 in cash, a small amount of pills, scales and plastic baggies.
Police identified the residents as Jennifer Best and Marlon Teixeira.
On Wednesday, police arrested Best and Teixeira at a Stoughton home, which is located next to a school.
Inside that home, police found 100 grams of Fentanyl and $1,100 cash.
Best and Teixeira were each charged with drug trafficking and possession of a Class E substance for the items found in Hanson. Stoughton police also seek to press charges against the pair.
