Boston Organization Working To Send Relief To Haiti
BOSTON (CBS) - Brian Concannon is the director of the Institute for Justice and Democracy in Haiti. He joined WBZ's Liam Martin and Paula Ebben on myTV38 to discuss the devastation in the impoverished island nation after Hurricane Matthew impacted it Tuesday and Wednesday.
Ten people in Haiti have died as a result and 15,000 have been displaced by the Category 4 storm.
The IJDH works with Haitian human rights advocates to call for a just system of law and a democratic government in Haiti.
The country was devastated in 2010 by a massive earthquake that killed hundreds of thousands. Many more have died in the cholera epidemic that followed.
