Haggerty With Gresh & Zo: Bruins Readying For Playoff Run
The Bruins have secured the second seed in the East and with three games left in the regular season how will the team look?
Joe Haggerty joined Gresh & Zo to talk about the B's preparations for the playoffs as they enter the last week of the regular season.
The team called up Anton Khudobin from Providence, so how will the goal tending duties be split between him, Marty Turco and Tim Thomas?
"Obviously Turco is going to play tonight against the Penguins, I would expect Khudobin probably will play against the Ottawa Senators on Thursday and then you put Tim Thomas in there against Buffalo in the last game so he can get the juices flowing again."
The guys also discussed the team's performance this season versus last season. How do they matchup against other teams in the East heading into the post season?
"I don't think there's a better team than them in the Eastern Conference. I don't think Pittsburgh's better, I don't think any of the other teams are better."
The Bruins have to make the trip up to Ottawa Thursday to take on the Senators before the end of the regular season. The thought is that the team might leave some players behind to rest as they might not play anyway.
Does Haggerty think that guys will be left in Boston or that they'll make the trip and Claude Julien will just regulate their playing time?
Plus what matchup would most benefit the Bruins in the second round of the playoffs?
