Guide To Jiminy Peak Ski Area

Jiminy Peak has been operating since 1948 and is now the largest ski resort in southern New England. It generates its own energy using wind power. There are 45 trails at Jiminy Peak.

Jiminy Peak is less than three hours from Boston. To get there take the Mass Pike West (I-90) to Exit B-3 (Berkshire Spur section). Route 22 North to Route 43 East (Route 43 East becomes Route 43 North in Massachusetts). Four miles on Route 43 to Brodie Mountain Road. Turn Right. Watch for Jiminy Peak on your right hand side.

Wrist Guards Are Free

Lessons:

Learn to Ski or Snowboard lessons includes a beginner lift ticket, 90 minute lesson and rental equipment. Lessons start at 9 a.m., 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. After the lesson, the lift ticket and rentals are valid until the end of the day. Lessons booked online cost $74. Walk ins are $79.

Class lessons are 90 minutes and are for all ability levels. They are offered at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. They cost $45.

Private lessons are offered at 9 a.m., noon, and 3 p.m. One hour costs $99; an additional person costs $55. Two hours cost $198 with an additional person costing $110. A three-hour class costs $297 with an additional person costing $165.

What Else Is At The Mountain:

The Mountain Coaster is 3,600 feet of twisting and turning through the woods. You control your speed so you can go slowly or up to 25 miles an hour. A single ride is $9; if you purchase it with a lift ticket it's $7.
