Guide To Catamount Ski Area

Catamount is 145 miles west of Boston in Hillsdale, N.Y. It has 33 trails and park areas with six lifts. 40 percent of the terrain rated easier.

From Boston:

Mass Pike West to Exit 2 in Lee. Off ramp onto 102 towards Stockbridge-Gt. Barrington. In Stockbridge, turn left at Red Lion Inn onto route 7 through Gt. Barrington. At light ( Alise Abrams Antiques) turn right and then go left over bridge. After Days Inn at light, bear right onto route 23. Go through So. Egremont to Catamount on left just after you enter NYS.

Monday through Friday: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Saturday, Sunday and Holidays: 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Nights:  Wednesday & Thursday: 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Friday & Saturday: 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Lessons:

Group Lessons are for ages seven and up and last 1 ½ hours long. They are held daily at 9:30 a.m., 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. Cost: $40 for one lesson, $70 for two, book of four $120

Private lessons last one hour, though can last up to five hours, and are available every hour on the hour. Cost: $100 for one hour (additional person $90); $190 for two hours (additional person $115); $270 for three hours (additional person $160); $400 for five hours (all day) (additional person $240)
