Guide To Boston's Wilbur Theatre
The Wilbur Theatre was built in 1914 by the Shubert brothers who named it for their friend and theater manager, A.L. Wilbur.
The theater was designed by Clarence Blackhall and was the first Boston theater to draw its inspiration from American Colonial architecture. The Wilbur Theatre opened in 1915, but was revitalized in 2008 by former Comedy Connection owner Bill Blumenreich.

Parking:
The Wilbur Theatre validates parking at the Archstone Garage at 660 Washington St. Wilbur Theatre patrons that enter the garage after 5 p.m. will get a $10 flat parking rate. The discount is only available if your parking ticket is stamped by someone at the Wilbur Theatre box office.
Public Transportation:
The Wilbur Theatre is also accessible by public transportation either by subway or by bus. The most convenient MBTA stop is the New England Medical stop on the Orange Line and Silver Line (bus), or the Boylston Street stop on the Green Line.
WHAT TO SEE
The Wilbur Theatre calls itself the "ultimate destination for comedy and music in Boston."
Comedians such as Joel McHale, Jimmy Falon, Bill Maher, Gavin Degraq and Kris Kristofferson have all appeared on the Wilbur stage.
Tickets for shows can be purchased through the Wilbur Theatre website, on Ticketmaster, or at the Wilbur Theatre box office, located at 246 Tremont St. in Boston.
The box office is open Monday through Saturday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. On days when there is a show, the box office will open at 12 p.m. and remain open until one hour after the start of the show. On Sunday, the box office opens two hours prior to the start of the show and closes one hour after the show's start.
