Gronkowski Active For Patriots Against Dolphins
BOSTON (CBS) - After missing the last five games, Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is active for the team's regular season finale against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
How much he plays though still remains unknown.
Gronkowski has not seen game action since breaking his forearm on November 18 against the Indianapolis Colts. CSNNE's Tom Curran reported on Saturday that Gronkowski would play this weekend in a limited role, but early Sunday reported the team may stick with their initial plan and hold the All Pro tight end out until the playoffs.
Gronkowski returned to practice two weeks ago, and upped his workload this past week. He spoke to the media on Wednesday, a sure sign he was improving and could see game action.
Among the inactives for the Patriots for Sunday include corner Alfonzo Dennard and guard Nick McDonald.
Corner Aqib Talib, who has been nursing a hip injury, is also active.
