Gronk Might Believe In Magic And It's Hilarious: Check Out His Reaction To This Mystifying Trick
BOSTON (CBS) -- Rob Gronkowski always has an air of wide-eyed innocence about him, even though everybody knows he's an unstoppable force on the field. So of course he would be totally mystified by magic tricks.
Check out Gronk's reaction to this trick by magician Mat Franco, last year's winner on America's Got Talent. Franco has Gronk throw a football, then give him his phone. Franco "throws" the phone, which disappears then re-appears inside the same football Gronk threw.
Gronk is so completely dumbfounded by Franco's trick he almost seems frightened. Either that, or he really is a "hell of an actor" as Rex Ryan said. Admittedly, it's a really cool trick and would confound anyone willing to suspend disbelief - assuming it's not all staged and Gronk isn't just pretending to be amazed to pocket some cash to do a promo for Franco's new TV show. The amount of editing is suspicious to say the least - let's see Franco pull this off without cutting away!
It's not fun to get all cynical about magic and try to figure out the guy's trick. I'm just as confused as Gronk as to how he pulled it off so let's leave it at that. Don't be that guy. Magic is harmless entertainment - but Gronk's reaction might have made him a believer.
Whatever you do, don't tell Gronk about Santa Claus.
