Gronk, Amendola Limited On Patriots' Practice Report

BOSTON (CBS) - Both Danny Amendola and Rob Gronkowski were back on the practice field for the Patriots on Wednesday, and were among the seven players listed as "limited" on the team's practice report.

It's still unclear if Gronkowski will suit up for the first time this season for Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Gillette, but the tight end said he has made big strides since last week.

"I'm just day to day and progressing every week," he said. "I've progressed significantly since last week."

"When everyone collaborates together and feels ready to go, that's when it'll be," he said. "So far, I've just had a good day today, and I've got to look forward to tomorrow and what I can do to improve tomorrow."

Amendola missed New England's Week 2 win over the Jets with a groin injury he suffered during the preseason and re-aggravated in Week 1, and he's expected to be sidelined for the next few weeks as he recovers. But on Tuesday, sources said the receiver did not need to undergo surgery.

Running back Brandon Bolden (knee), offensive linemen Dan Connolly (finger) and Will Svitek (knee), defensive back Nate Ebner (ankle) and running back/kick returner Leon Washington (thigh) were also "limited" on Wednesday's report.

The only two Patriots' to miss Wednesday's practice were cornerback Marquice Cole, who reportedly celebrated the birth of his child, and special teams captain Matthew Slater, who is out 4-6 weeks with a broken wrist.

Tight end Zach Sudfeld, who injured his hamstring in Week 1 and did not play in Week 2 against the Jets, was a full participant on Wednesday.
