Gresh & Zo's 2014 NFL Summer School: Philadelphia Eagles

BOSTON (CBS) - It's not your typical classroom. They're not your typical teachers. It's where you go after failing all year. It's Gresh and Zo's NFL Summer School on 98.5 The Sports Hub!

The summer school tour rolls on and heads to the City of Brotherly Love, where Andy Gresh and Mike Flynn break down and preview the upcoming 2014 season for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Taking Attendance:

The Philadelphia Eagles released wide receiver DeSean Jackson in the offseason, but brought in safety Malcolm Jenkins, quarterback Mark Sanchez and cornerback Nolan Carroll via free agency and running back Darren Sproles via trade. They also drafted linebacker Marcus Smith and wide receivers Jordan Matthews and Josh Huff.

Gresh: "I love what they did, in part because they found out that their coach has the ability to take second, third and fourth round guys at the wide receiver spot and coach 'em up and elevate them. You have Jeremy Maclin, you have Riley Cooper and Chip Kelly is going to make wide receivers stars. They're built to do one thing and one thing only: play fast."

Flynn: "I love Darren Sproles. There's no doubt you lose some production without DeSean Jackson, but I think that system and Chip Kelly will spread you out and put up points. I like the addition of Sproles. Last year the defense stunk, but if Foles plays well they're gonna put up a lot of points."

Pop Quiz:

Will Chip Kelly's offense be a long-term success in the NFL?

Gresh: "It isn't. For one reason and one reason only: there's only one Chip Kelly. You can't copy it. There's no one like him in terms of offensive football. It's him and that's it."

Flynn: "It will be productive. I don't know that it'll be 'the new wave.' I just feel like that type of offensive philosophy is soft, and it bleeds over to other parts of the team. They're always going to come up short in a playoff-type situation."

Fantasy 101:

Is Nick Foles a top five fantasy quarterback playing a full season?

Gresh: "Even if he doesn't have the body of work, you'd still have to consider him a top five guy."

Flynn: "He's going to play a full season. He's got guys to throw the ball to in space so he can dump these balls off, little screens and stuff like that -- he's going to put up a lot of points. I'll say he will be a top five fantasy quarterback because he has the opportunity and it's his second year to grab hold of that offense and take it to another level."

With DeSean Jackson's exit, which wide receiver steps in as the no. 1?

Gresh: "His no. 1 receiver is probably Riley Cooper right now, and I don't even think he's going to put up massive numbers. This is one of those offenses where you can have two receivers with 900 yards and 10 touchdowns."

Final Grade:

Last year's team went 10-6. Year before that? 4-12. Vegas has the over/under at 9.5 wins. Where do they finish and do they make the playoffs?

Gresh: "I got the over and I think they'll make the playoffs. They're not championship-worthy yet, but what they have to do now is spend draft picks on the defensive side of the ball and build a young, fast defense, which I think they'll do. They win 11 games, win their division and lose their first playoff game."

Flynn: "I got the over and they make the playoffs."
