Gresh & Zo: Phil Simms, Surprised Chad Ochocinco Hasn't Fit In Better
Former New York Giants Quarterback and present day CBS Television Football Color Analyst, Phil Simms, joined Gresh and Zo to discuss the NFL and the Patriots.
What are Simms' thoughts on why the NFL seems to be a much more pass heavy league now compared to yesteryear?
How does Rob Gronkowski remind Simms of Mark Bavaro?
What did Simms pick up from watching the Patriots Monday Night Football performance, outside of Brady's ridiculous game?
And what does Simms think of Chad Ochocinco's debut with New England?
"It was hard to make a lot out of it, because I didn't see him," Simms joked of Ocho's one-catch performance. "When you're talking about guys like Ochocinco, whatever star, when they're open one team and go to another... you're at ground zero and you have to start over."
"You have to develop their trust, prove to everyone you're the man they think you are and you have to blend in," he said. "It's tough to do, especially when you go to a team like the Patriots because of the culture."
"Quite honestly, I'm surprised," Simms said. "I thought their system, their offense would fit him well and it still could. We'll find out."
That and much more with Phil Simms.
