Gresh & Zo No Huddle: Teams Dealing With Major Injuries Early In Camp
BOSTON (CBS) - Training Camp has been devastating so far for a few NFL franchises, with some players already lost to season-ending injuries.
Eagles receiver Jeremy Maclin tore his ACL, Broncos center Dan Koppen did the same, and Ravens tight end Dennis Pitta dislocated and fractured his hip. Gresh & Zo break down this difficult first weekend of camp, and how these teams will move forward after these huge injuries in their latest "No Huddle" segment.
They also get into the state of the New York Jets and their quarterback competition, and how much control Rex Ryan has over this team.
In addition, the 49ers have been trying to address injuries at the wide reciever position by moving tight end Vernon Davis out left and right, and putting him in the slot. Is having tight ends out wide a developing trend in the NFL?
Also, Vikings wideout Greg Jennings left Green Bay swinging this year, taking shots at his former quarterback Aaron Rodgers and his ego. Is their any truth to what Jennings has said?
Finally, with seconds left on the clock, the guys turn to C.J. Spiller and the Buffalo Bills. The team claims that the third-year back is due for a 2,000 yard rushing season in Doug Marrone's new offense. Any chance that C.J. joins NFL royalty and the 2K club? And will Mario Williams ever show up in Buffalo?
Gresh & Zo sort all of that out in this week's "No Huddle!"
