Gresh & Zo: Milan Lucic's Run-In With Police
BOSTON (CBS) - Boston Bruins forward Milan Lucic was questioned early Tuesday morning by Boston police about an argument he allegedly had with his girlfriend in the North End.
No charges were filed, but witnesses say they saw Brittany Carnegie, Lucic's girlfriend, crying and on the ground with the Bruins forward yelling at her. At one point, witnesses say, he threw her purse and one of her shoes at her.
Both parties told police it was an argument, and it was no big deal.
"We had an argument. We're fine. Why are you here at my house?" Lucic said to the officers when they arrived at his home for questioning, according to the police report.
Lucic was described as "highly intoxicated and hostile," and when the officers continued to question him about the incident he allegedly slammed his cell phone on the ground and asked, "Do you know who I am?" according to the report.
Carnegie was questioned and said there was no physical assault. She was adamant that she was not harmed in the altercation, and said it was blown way out of proportion via Twitter on Wednesday.
98.5 The Sports Hub's Gresh & Zo discussed the matter Wednesday, with Gresh wondering if this would have received the publicity it did had the Bruins not won the Stanley Cup?
What do you think? Is this only a big deal because Lucic and the Bruins won the Cup?
