Gresh & Zo: Matt Hasselbeck On Playing Against Pats Defense
Quarterback Matt Hasselbeck drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the sixth round of the 1998 NFL Draft, and traded to Seattle Seahawks in 2001. Hasselbeck led Seattle to six playoff appearances and a Super Bowl after he was named the starter in 2003.
Seattle never re-signed the three time Pro Bowler and he ended up signing with the Tennessee Titans in 2011. This season the Titans are giving the starting job to 8th overall pick in the 2011 Draft, Jake Locker.
The Patriots and Titans face off on Sunday to get their regular seasons started and Gresh & Zo talked to the QB about how his Titans look heading into the season.
With Locker starting behind center what should we be looking for from him?
"I think he's got a lot of talent. He's got a really strong arm, he was drafted the eighth overall pick for a reason and he's the quarterback of the future here, there's no doubt about that. He's also a great athlete he's a big kid but, he can run he's very fast, he's real mobile."
Plus, is Locker a guy who is ready to start in this league?
What are they looking for going up against this Patriots defense on Sunday afternoon?
"The Patriots do a lot of great things defensively. So, when we know that we've got to prepare for what they've shown this preseason, but we've also got to prepare for everything they've shown in the past two years just because that's what they do."
The guys also discussed the difference in how Chris Johnson looks this season compared to last year and some classic Zo stories.
