Gresh & Zo: Bruins Win Home Opener
The Bruins got back to work last night at the Garden and beat the Lightning 3-1.
Two Bruins goals came shorthanded and it was the first time in NHL history that a team scored its first goal of the season on a penalty shot.
Chris Kelly was hooked from behind by defenseman Mark Barberio on a breakaway and was awarded a penalty shot. Kelly faked to his left and then moved right before backhanding the puck past Anders Lindback and putting his team up 1-0.
Gresh and Zo recap the first game of the season and look at how the new additions to the roster performed.
The guys talked about Jarome Iginla's fight and the Kelly penalty shot. It's early to be totally crazy about a win, but the guys are excited that the Bruins are back.
