Gresh & Zo: Belichick (Kind Of) Speaks On Welker, Amendola
BOSTON (CBS) - We've heard from just about everyone when it comes to Wes Welker signing with the Denver Broncos.
Or so it seams that way. We've heard from Wes. We've heard from Wes' agent and heard from Patriots owner Robert Kraft -- a couple times each in fact.
But there are two main players from a New England standpoint we've yet to hear from: Bill Belichick and Tom Brady.
We'll have to wait to hear from Brady, but Belichick spoke from the NFL Owners Meetings in Phoenix on Tuesday. Welker's departure was the very first question Belichick was asked, though his answer would be what you expect out of the Patriots head coach.
"I agree with what Robert said yesterday. That did a good job explaining it and that covered it very thoroughly."

Just like that, Belichick whipped his hands clean of the situation. He backed his owner, and let Kraft's words handle the situation.
With that, Belichick was able to move forward and beginning looking at next season -- like how Danny Amendola will fit in with the offense in place of Welker.
"I look forward to working with him. Any new player we get we'll put him into our system and try to teach him the things we do, let him do them and evaluate him," said Belichick. "He's been very productive as a receiver; productive on the inside, productive on the outside."
