Gresh & Zo: Are You Worried About The Youth Of The Red Sox?
BOSTON (CBS) - Edward Mujica, Burke Badenhop, Jonathan Herrera, Grady Sizemore and a 37-year-old A.J. Pierzynski - that's your Red Sox offseason, folks.
Not exactly names that jump off the page, but names nonetheless that should help this team compete in the AL East in 2014.
But compete for another World Series?
That's a different story, considering the fact Jacoby Ellsbury departed to the Bronx and they chose not to bring back their primary regular season catcher in Jarrod Saltalamacchia. Not to mention the Stephen Drew saga is still unsettled.

The team's lack of moves in the offseason shows to some extent their level of trust in the young players. Will Middlebrooks, Xander Bogaerts and Jackie Bradley Jr. all look to play prominent roles for the Red Sox in 2014, and whether or not they're up to the task should start to sort itself out in spring training.
The team seems to trust the young guys, but do you?
Andy Gresh posed the question on Twitter, and the majority of responses both online and on air were all positive. Gresh just hopes it stays like that when they go through cold streaks.

"How many people are willing to ride the roller coaster of having young players in the lineup? If Jackie Bradley Jr. gets off to another bad start and we're six weeks into the year are you going to be pushing the panic button? If Middlebrooks doesn't hit right away is there gonna be screaming to get a shortstop and move Bogaerts over to third?"
Scott Zolak thinks because the team is coming off a World Series win, the hunger of fans has subsided to the point where they'll be more willing to embrace and be patient in the youth.
