Gresh & Zo: Patriots' Chung Ignoring Preseason Noise
FOXBORO (CBS) - With the Patriots wrapping up their second day of joint camp sessions with the New Orleans Saints at Gillette Stadium on Wednesday, the players are anxious for their first preseason game on Thursday.
Patriots safety Patrick Chung joined 98.5 The Sports Hub's Gresh and Hardy live from Training Camp, enjoying his second day practicing with the Saints.
"I like it. It's good to go against someone different besides your teammates. You get to test out what you've been working hard on the last two weeks," said Chung. "It's good to have another team out there to practice against; it makes it more intense."

Now in his fourth year in the NFL, there are high hopes for Chung to make the next step and become a leader in the secondary. Chung doesn't think his role has changed all that much from last season, and does his best to block out all the expectation talk.
"You can't really force it. You have to take the season as it goes, one game at a time, and just try to make as many plays as you can and be as consistent as you can be," he said. "I hear it all the time, but in one ear and out the other. Anything can happen; you just have to play the game and let it come to you. Don't force it."
The same goes for all the pundits predicting great things -- some of which are predicting perfection -- for New England in 2012.

"You just have to ignore the noise. Having a bunch of talent means nothing if we're not on the same page," he said. "It comes down to execution, hard work and doing the right things on and off the field. Talent is one thing, but working hard with talent will make you even better."
