Green-Rainbow Party Vows To Keep High Profile In Massachusetts
BOSTON (AP) - Their candidate for governor may have placed a distant fourth, but the Green-Rainbow Party is still hoping to be a viable alternative to Democrats and Republicans in Massachusetts.
On Sunday, the party gathers for an organizing convention at Clark University in Worcester.
Party officials say the convention will focus on ways to organize for political change. They say that includes using online media to address unemployment, health care, the environment, war and peace, and social justice.
The public face of the party this year was gubernatorial candidate, Jill Stein.
Although her candidacy attracted just one percent of the vote, Stein participated in most gubernatorial debates, raising the party's profile.
