Gov. Patrick: Tornado Financial Aid On Way

BOSTON (AP) - Financial aid could soon be making its way to tornado-ravaged Massachusetts communities.

Gov. Deval Patrick on Monday filed a $52 million supplemental spending plan that includes $10 million to help pay for costs incurred during the emergency response to last week's devastating storms.

The bill also provides new tools for municipalities to speed emergency borrowing.

Patrick also said two federal emergency management teams have been on the ground in effected communities assessing the damage and making estimates of the cost of rebuilding public infrastructure and private homes.
