Gov. Patrick On Trade Trip In Israel
BOSTON (AP) - Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick is visiting Israel to discuss trade, business partnerships and other issues.
Patrick was set to leave Sunday and arrive in Tel Aviv.
On Monday, the governor is to meet with Israeli chief scientist Avi Hasson to discuss business partnerships between Massachusetts and Israel and the chief executive officer of El Al Airline.
Patrick is scheduled to meet Thursday with Israeli President Shimon Peres.
Later Monday, Patrick will join Lt. Gov. Timothy Murray in Boston via video for an announcement related to the MassChallenge competition, which is intended to help connect entrepreneurs with opportunities for start-up businesses.
