Gov. Patrick Hitting The Road
BOSTON (AP) -- Gov. Deval Patrick is hitting the road again and won't be back until the middle of the month.
Patrick plans to deliver a speech at a Democratic Party dinner in Colorado on Saturday. He then embarks on a 10-day trade mission to Israel and Britain.
A team of business executives and government officials is scheduled to accompany Patrick on the trip, which begins in Israel on Monday and ends in Britain on March 17.
Patrick said the mission will highlight the state's innovation-based industries.
Critics are beginning to fault Patrick for his absences from the state.
The Democratic governor has said he is planning a tour in the spring to promote his book, "A Reason to Believe," and will be making some political stops across the country to help President Obama win reelection.
