Gov. Charlie Baker Shaves Head To Raise Money For Cancer Institute
BOSTON (CBS) -- A smiling Gov. Charlie Baker showed off his new haircut Tuesday, all for a good cause.
Baker and 500 employees at Granite Telecommunications in Quincy shaved their heads to raise money for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
After the buzz, Baker took a selfie with his wife and shook the hand of his barber.
"To do it for a lot of people who didn't have a choice about whether they lost their hair or not, it really feels good," Lauren Baker told WBZ NewsRadio 1030. "And he looks good! I think he looks younger. I think he looks cute."
The "Saving By Shaving" event is expected to raise over $3 million for the institute.
