Goucher On Toucher & Rich: Do You Hold Bergeron Out Longer Than Needed As Precaution?
The NHL trade deadline has come and gone and the Bruins really only made one big move acquiring Jaromir Jagr in a trade with the Dallas Stars. Jagr is expected to make his Bruins debut tonight at the Garden against the New Jersey Devils.
98.5 The Sports Hub's Bruins play-by-play announcer Dave Goucher joined Toucher & Rich to discuss the Bruins, the addition to Jaromir Jagr and the injury to Patrice Bergeron.
Bergeron left in the second period of the B's 3-2 win over the Ottawa Senators after it appeared he was hit in the head by Colin Greening as the two players went for a puck. Bruins GM confirmed on Wednesday that the center suffered a moderate concussion, but mentioned that he was out walking around.
If Bergeron is feeling well enough to play sooner rather than later do you hold him out as a precaution given his history with concussions?
They went on to discuss the addition of 41-year-old Jaromir Jagr from Dallas. If you were Claude Julien where do you play Jagr? Who do you move to make room? What do the line combinations look like?
