Gorman On Toucher & Rich: Celtics Drop Game One To Knicks
The Celtics have started their round one matchup in the playoffs with the New York Knicks, but unfortunately the Green fell to the Knicks 85-78. Game two tips off tonight at Madison Square Garden at 8pm then the series moves to Boston for games three and four.
Celtics play-by-play announcer Mike Gorman joined 98.5 The Sports Hub's Toucher & Rich to discuss the first game of this best of seven, Jason Kidd, Jason Terry and turning the ball over.
Before the series started Doc Rivers joked about facing an older team. 40 year-old Jason Kidd gave the C's a run for their money swiping balls away and diving on the floor for loose balls.
"I mean, he had two steals that there's guys 10 times quicker than him who would have never gotten it. But he sees it before it happens, and he reacts. And he's beating people with his mind right now. He beat us last night, for sure," Doc had to say about Kidd's performance.
The guys wonder though can Kidd continue to rely on his basketball knowledge to get it done?
The guys also talked about Jason Terry and the fact that he's all but disappeared. Terry claimed that he was here for the playoffs, but through one game he hasn't really showed us anything great. What's going on with Terry?
They also discussed all the turnovers the Celtics had. How do you fix that issue moving forward?
