Good Samaritans Stop Man From Beating Pregnant Woman In Roxbury
BOSTON (CBS) --- A group of Good Samaritans stopped a man from beating and robbing a pregnant woman.
Police say it happened around 3 p.m. Tuesday near Harrison Avenue and Thorndike Street in Boston's Roxbury neighborhood.
When police arrived, they saw a group of people standing around a man, preventing him from leaving the area.
That man was later identified as Bernard Robinson, 52, of Roxbury.
The woman told police she was leaving a convenience store when Robinson approached and asked for money.
When she refused, she said he grabbed her purse and began assaulting her.
The group of Good Samaritans helped the woman fend off the attacker and kept Robinson detained until police arrived.
Robinson is charged with unarmed assault to rob and assault and battery.
