Going Above Average...

The official snow total from the storm at Logan turned out to be 14.7" this brings the seasonal total to 40.4"...2.6" shy of what we normally get for the entire season...looks like the over is going to win!  Looking forward we have an opportunity to add to the 40.4" over the weekend when a weak clipper system and its warm air advection induced snow cruises through.  It will be moisture starved but a period of snow should leave behind coatings...maybe even an inch.

Next week we have a better chance to get a bigger storm...as a 500mb trough will be digging into the south linking up with the southern stream.  Cold high pressure at the surface will be retreating but its exit may take it to our east inducing decent return flow and a warmer flow of air should eventually win out changing and snow or mixed precip to rain middle of next week...we shall see...
