Glen Davis Breaks Foot, Likely Out For Season
BOSTON (CBS ) – Former-Boston Celtic Glen "Big Baby" Davis won't be taking on his old team Friday night when the Orlando Magic come to town.
Davis broke his left foot in Orlando's Wednesday night loss to the New York Knicks, likely ending his 2012-13 season.
Davis was a fan favorite – for the most part – during his four seasons in Boston. Acquired by the Celtics in the Ray Allen trade on draft night 2007, Davis played an integral part off the bench his rookie season as Boston won their 17th NBA Championship. He took over for an injured Kevin Garnett in the 2008-09 season, and averaged 15.8 points and 5.8 rebounds in the playoffs – knocking down the game-winning jumper against the Magic in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Davis had his ups and downs both on and off the court in Boston, and the Celtics opted to trade him to Orlando for forward Brandon Bass in 2011 rather than sign him to a long-term extension.

Davis was averaging 15.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game for the Magic this season, and had put up decent numbers against his former team. He averaged 13.8 points and 7.8 rebounds against the Celtics, though the Magic lost each of the four games.
