Girlfriend Of State Rep. Carlos Henriquez: 'I Was Assaulted'
BOSTON (CBS) - The woman who claims a Massachusetts state representative assaulted her early Sunday morning said Wednesday that she has been telling the truth and has "done nothing wrong."

Rep. Carlos Henriquez, 35, was arrested at about 4 a.m. Sunday at his home in Dorchester after an altercation with his girlfriend, Katherine Gonzalves.
Gonsalves claims she jumped out of Henriquez's moving car soon after he allegedly punched her and tried to strangle her several times.
With her mother at her side, Gonsalves read a brief statement Wednesday, saying "the man I was dating hit me."
"I was assaulted, like many others, but my situation has been thrust to the public eye because of the status of my attacker. I assure you the events that are contained in the police report are true. I have told the truth about this incident and will continue to do so," said Gonsalves.
Hernriquez has pleaded not guilty to charges of domestic kidnapping and intimidating a witness, and has denied claims he punched her and held her against her will in his car.
