Girl Survives Fall From 3rd-Story Porch In Chelsea
CHELSEA, Mass. (AP) — Authorities say a 3-year-old girl suffered a broken arm in a 40-foot, three-story fall from the porch of a Chelsea home.
A Chelsea fire official says he was "shocked" that the girl didn't suffer more serious injuries in the fall Sunday afternoon.
The girl apparently climbed on a weight bench before leaning over and falling. She landed on a strip of dirt and started crying.
She was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital.
The girl's uncle says he was watching a few kids on the porch when he dashed inside to use the bathroom and the girl fell.
