Georgetown Boy Raises Money To Buy Pillows For Sick Kids
BOSTON (CBS) - On any given day, there are hundreds of kids in the hospital battling some disease. One boy is looking to make a difference.
Nine-year-old Zachary Manuel from Georgetown isn't even sick but he wanted to help those kids.
He saw an ad for some play pillows, and he thought those would brighten the day for a kid in the hospital.
He then asked his parents if he could use his savings account money to buy some.
His idea grew into a free throw fundraiser and a bake sale. There, he raised in excess of $3,000.
On Friday, his dad will deliver 171 of those pillows to Children's Hospital in Boston.
