Gas Leak Shut Down After Forcing Evacuations In Cambridge
CAMBRIDGE (CBS) - A gas leak that forced evacuations in Cambridge on Monday morning was under control, Cambridge police said.
Police said the leak had been shut down as of 11:45 a.m.
Along with evacuations of nearby buildings, the leak around Kendall Square shut down roads in the area and halted the MBTA Red Line for a short time. It was not immediately clear what caused the leak.
There were no immediate reports of any injuries.
